Maid for you
My mother-in-law is coming for the weekend so I’m doing myself and my family the favor of getting an agency to send over a housekeeper since I don’t want fight with my husband about a how dirty our apartment is or vacuum at 11:30 at night. The lovely woman who used to clean our house is now studying neuroscience at Baruch and doesn’t have time. So Maid-for-You sent over a hardworking woman named Tricia who was geared up to do a “deep clean” for five hours and when she wasn’t done she cleaned for another two more at a slightly higher rate. 7 hours later, I left her a hefty tip for getting those hard to reach places like behind the vent and to rid myself of our filth shame. The grand total: a painful close-your-eyes and charge it $310. Then, at 5:30 just after I had sent Tricia on her merry way my mother-in-law called and cancelled.
