Volunteer work and fund raising is not easy work when you are a Mom and may have a full time job on top of that.

I've been on both sides of this scenario. One being the co-chair being stalked by an eager volunteer and the other being the volunteer (worker bee) that has many things to offer that can't even get a response back.

Stalking a co-chair nor playing the avoidence in the name of "I'm busy and this is VOLUNTEER work" isn't the answer. Saying that someone has "nothing else going on in their lives" (like Jericho above) clearly has no idea the value of a volunteer who has the know how to raise $20K in today's economy. Wow!!

Demonstrating mutual respect is the answer while recognizing sometimes it just comes down to the chemistry of working together...not everyone gets along. When you are a co-chair you are a manger...evaluate a volunteers skill set...don't get irritated...put them to work. Make your fund raising a success. RISE ABOVE IT and be an adult...manage through it. At the end of the day YOU get all the credit for the $$$'s you raise.

Get over yourself Mommy blogger...do the right thing.

I am a teacher who works with these crazies and I am sorry you have to deal with mom's that albeit care about their kids, unfortunately have nothing else going on in their lives so they throw themselves into their kids lives and then become bitter. Don't sweat the insanity of it all!
