Before bed David and I listen to The Writer’s Almanac podcast. It’s our version of a bedtime story,  it’s tidbits about writer’s lives and a poem. Usually, as soon as I hear Garrison Keillor’s voice I’m asleep. I missed this poem the other night and David woke up the next day and told me he was glad I didn’t hear it. So naturally, I had to listen. The poem called Overnight is by Pat Schneider and I understand why.
